Cookie and Browser Storage Policy

This page explains the browser storage and external services currently used by steb.work.

Current use

• HTTP cookies: no first-party application cookie was found during the launch audit.
• Local storage: choosing a theme saves only your light or dark preference under steb-theme in this browser. It is not sent to the server or used for tracking. Without a saved choice, the site follows your device theme. Clearing this site's browser storage restores that default.
• Session storage: the application does not use it.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: measures aggregated traffic and performance without analytics cookies, local storage, or visitor fingerprinting, according to Cloudflare.
• Hosting and security: Cloudflare receives ordinary network and request information to deliver and protect the site. This is server-side processing, not browser storage controlled by this application.
• Contact form: unsent fields and retry identifiers stay in page memory only, not cookies, local storage, or session storage. Resend sends the inquiry to steb without email open/click tracking.
• Turnstile: when the contact form is enabled and opened, Cloudflare's security widget processes browser and network signals to check for automated abuse. Pre-clearance cookies are not enabled by this integration. The service is used for form protection, not advertising.

External resources

Portfolio media loads from media.steb.work, a Cloudflare R2-backed domain. Archivo and Literata font files are requested through Google Fonts because they remain in use on active site typography; the request may disclose network and browser information to Google. Behance is an outbound link only and does not load an embedded widget on this site.

Consent decision

No advertising technology or non-essential cookie-based analytics is enabled by this application, so a cookie-consent banner has not been added. Turnstile loads only when needed for the contact form; a direct email alternative remains available. Google Analytics is not currently enabled. Before Google Analytics, Turnstile pre-clearance, or another tracking/storage feature is enabled, steb will reassess consent requirements for the actual configuration and audience and update this policy before it loads.
