Privacy Policy
Effective September 9, 2026
This website is operated by steb, a designer based in the Philippines. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to steven.daanton@gmail.com.
Information handled
The contact form collects your email address, subject, and message to respond to your inquiry. It does not accept attachments or ask for a name or phone number. The site has no account, checkout, or booking system. Cloudflare processes technical request and security information needed to deliver and protect the site, which may include an IP address, request details, device or browser information, and timestamps. Portfolio media is delivered from the Cloudflare R2 domain media.steb.work.
Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregated site-use and performance measurements. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting for analytics.
If you email steb, the message may include your name, email address, message, attachments, and any other information you choose to send. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and has been requested.
Purposes and grounds
When the form is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse and Resend forwards your message to steb's Gmail inbox. The form uses no mailing list, automatic reply, or open/click tracking. Form content is not stored in an application database or application logs. Unsent text stays in page memory and is lost when you leave or reload the page.
Technical information is used to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and understand the performance of the site. Inquiry information is used to respond and, when you ask about services, take steps at your request before a possible contract. General correspondence and abuse prevention rely on legitimate interests, subject to your rights and an assessment of necessity and proportionality. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing or waive your privacy rights.
Retention and disclosure
The retention policy for closed, non-client inquiries is deletion from the inbox within three months after the last communication. This is a manual responsibility, not an automatic website feature. Client correspondence and records needed for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-related reasons may require a different retention period.
Abuse protection stores counters, delivery status, and keyed hashes of request identifiers and message content in Cloudflare Durable Objects, not readable messages or raw IP addresses. Active records expire within 24 hours and are scheduled for removal by the following hourly cleanup; service interruptions may delay cleanup. Cloudflare recovery backups may retain deleted metadata longer. These hashes remain protected data, not a claim of anonymity.
Cloudflare, Resend, and Google process information to provide hosting, security, delivery, and inbox services, potentially outside the Philippines. Their logs, backups, and retention are separate from the website's active storage and depend on their terms and account settings. Deleting a message here is not a promise of immediate deletion from every provider backup. steb does not sell personal data or use inquiry content for behavioral advertising. You can email directly if you cannot complete the automated abuse check.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase or block, or obtain information about personal data concerning you; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where consent is used; and exercise other rights provided by the Philippine Data Privacy Act. Email the address above to make a request. You may also raise a concern with the Philippine National Privacy Commission.
Security, children, and changes
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. This portfolio is not directed to children and does not intentionally collect children's information. This policy will be updated before materially new data processing begins, including before non-essential analytics is introduced. Material changes will be dated on this page.
